Because this was such a long time ago that I can't really remember what I did. Oh I know, my friend Miss B and I got lost on the highway for 3 hours trying to drive from LAX to my friend Miss L's house. We didn't rent a GPS when we rented a car, we thought we could manage to find our way on our own by just using our phone. It turned out we were wrong, because we were wondering on the highway for hours, that was mental !

I remember that I went to Disneyland and Universal Studio, and have some dinners with my friends. Oh I also went to Laguna Beach. But honestly I can't really remember what I've done.

因為實在是太久以前了我有點忘了我當時做了哪些事，我記得一件很可怕的事就是我跟友人B在洛杉磯機場開車前往友人L的家，但是當時我們為了省20美金就想說用手機也到得了啦~的心態上了高速公路，一個四十分鐘的路程我們開了三個小時，中間迷路數次，屢下交流道問路，上交流道後又錯過路口這樣來回幾次，越開車越想哭這樣，三個多小時後終於到了。
簡直花轟，下次不幹這種蠢事。 因為我們後來去別的地方還是狂迷路啊，以後租車的時候一定要租導航啊

我記得我去了迪士尼跟環球，跟一些朋友吃了幾頓飯，還去了海邊，但是其他時間做了什麼真的記不住耶我 (老了~

I do feel bad for not remember anything about my week in LA and can't really give you any more things in depth.

My 4 months in the US came to an end here in LA, it was really great time, I have done so many things on my own that I am really proud of.

有點不好意思整個在LA做的事情忘得一乾二淨，沒辦法給你們看一些更有深度的東西啊 (雖然過去的也沒什麼深度 哈哈)

中央公園 Central Park

Central park is one of the famous movie scenes you see a lot, it was absolute full of people all the time, especially people exercising after work is very common. Once I saw a mum jogging whilst pushing a baby-buggy, you can see anything in central park.

I went to all the must-go places, the statue of liberty, Staten Island Ferry, Trinity church, The museum of Modern Art (MoMA), Times Square, Whitney Museum of American Art, Blue Man Group,

中央公園可以說是紐約的大地標，貫穿整的紐約市中心，也是紐約人下班運動的地方，有一次看到一個媽媽一邊跑步一邊推著嬰兒車，希望嬰兒不要著涼才好 哈哈

我去了所有的觀光客必去景點，自由女神啦，渡輪，三一教堂，現代博物館，時代廣場(可以提早去排隊買便宜的票)，惠特尼博物館，藍人(超好看的秀，大推大推大推)

中央公園 Central Park

I finished my work in Yellowstone National Park, it was absolute great time. 2 of my roommates left earlier, and there were one last roommate helping all the work, luckily, it's getting less busy in September.

I needed to head to the airport at around 5 am, I was packing all night, couldn't fall asleep at all.
My flight was from Cody-Denver-Chicago-Albany.

My grand uncle lives in Albany,  so I was visiting them for couple days, then dead to New York City, get bunked with some friends who lives in the upper east area.

Normally they would give you 40 minutes or so for your transfer, but when I arrived Denver, I only got 10 minutes some how, meh~~

I was sooooo excited to visit my grand uncle, because I really miss the food in Taiwan (Even now I live in London, still miss the food in Taiwan so badly)

結束在黃石的工作了，那三個月想起來有好的回憶，也有一些不好的回憶，想想都是現在的我，覺得很感激啊。 已經有兩個室友結束工作了，我離開後只有一位會在那裏工作，不過九月的工作少很多，除了很冷以外，其實滿悠哉的~~~

(我的摯友Z現在也在黃石工作，覺得跟她很有共鳴，真的有很多很好的回憶，那些經驗都把我們變成一個不一樣的自己，也是一個可以認識自己的過程)

離開黃石的當天，我凌晨五點天還很嘿，就要出發了，整晚沒睡，根本睡不著。從柯迪-丹佛-芝加哥-艾本尼 (不知道是不是這樣翻哈哈)

我的舅公(媽媽的舅舅)住在紐約的郊區，在進入曼哈頓之前，先去他們家拜訪幾天，順便也是可以吃一大頓台灣的料理，太常吃泡麵了 哈哈 (即使現在住在倫敦我也是很常吃泡麵，哀桑)

吃了三個月的熱狗，吃到菜餔蛋真的想哭，還有配粥那個鹹鹹的東西，它叫什麼啊!!! Taiwanese food my grand aunt made me

餛飩湯跟紅燒肋排 我又想哭了!!! Won-ton soup and braised ribs

紅燒鮭魚!!!!!! 天啊~~~~ braised salmon is the best thing ever.

My time in Albany mainly spent on devouring as much food as I could and visited a 911 memorial museum. And I also went to some library, university too. I also visit other family member there, but the food memory there was so great that I could never forget it.

The next day, I took Mega bus to New York City, it was roughly 3 hours, it was really cheap so for whoever plans to travel to New York City, I recommend Mega bus to you, only around 15 dollars if you book in advance. Click Here or the word in my article to check it out.

我去了一些博物館，紀念館跟圖書館(怎麼都是館啊)，還有紐約州立大學晃晃，但是我大部分的時間都在吃，狂吃，吃一個超飽，實在太好吃了，我跟我妹很常會討論姨媽做的食物 (我妹隔年也去美國打工了，她竟然還吃過姨媽做的包子! 羨慕 )
我們那個時候也有跟舅媽舅公見面，覺得出門在外有家人就是幸福啊。

隔天我搭乘Megabus 前往曼哈頓，大概三個小時的車程，我覺得便宜又划算，如果打算從外縣市搭車前往的人，Mega bus是很好的選擇，提前訂票很便宜，車上小睡一下就到了。

the endless sky

After working for a while, I actually went to the national park inside and had an awesome day there.
I was born in a city and raised in a city so I really really love going to the national park, bit of the change for my usual life.

在工作了幾天後，我前往了黃石公園的觀光景點區，在那裏遊山玩水一天，超棒，從小在台北長大其實我沒什麼接觸大自然啊，所以看到那些風景的時候，除了讚嘆，還是讚嘆~~

An elk would be very obvious around when you were suddenly stuck in traffic, it had to be an elk that's why everyone is stopping for it

Boiling hot spring. I like the unpredictable nature here

I was actually in a zoo bit, watching some wolves fighting for their lunch.

The crystal clear blueness is actually really really hot water.

I love the light fresh air in the park; the subtle smell of the grass; the gentle breeze; the warm, comfy sunshine,  and the spectacular landscape you would never see in a low latitude country. The feeling of freedom is speechless. The reflection of the forest on the lake was just soothing. Awww, I wish I could go back again.

黃石公園裡面清爽薄透的氣流，隨著微風而來的淡雅青草味，跟溫暖卻不會刺眼的太陽，那種身心自由解放的感覺，實在是太舒服了。 湖上清晰的倒映著旁邊的森林，一種莫名的滿足感包圍著自己，真的很美好。 希望有時間再回去一趟。

Since the turn of the century, rodeos and parades have been part of the Fourth of July here in Cody, Wyoming. For 90 plus years, starting officially in 1919, the Cody Stampede Rodeo has been held every summer.

Before I went to watch the show, I had no idea of what it could be, but it went out amazingly, it was a bit crazy, but I love it, it's a very cowboy thing to watch, and Cody is all about cowboys. 

highly recommendation for people planning to go to Cody for a visit in the summer.

Nite rodeo 是個我們在美國國慶日附近去看的表演，有很多訓練有素的馬跟牛們，做些表演，其實很多很起來都滿危險的但是我們看得很爽~~~~ 以一個小鎮來說這樣的人潮其實滿多的~~
而且柯迪就是一個充滿牛仔的地方啊~

如果有機會來黃石公園，不妨在夏天的時候來看一場~

It's august, we got through the busiest period, so we have more time to do some tourists thing. After some routine food shopping in Walmart (I bought way too much that I could barely take anything), we went horse back riding~~~~~~~

This was my first time riding a horse without someone looking after me, and the horse was gigantic, we need to get on the second floor and kind of 'land' on the horse from its top, rather than just use the usual way to hop on it, or maybe we were too short, haha.

Riding a horse is not terribly hard, but it gets distracted a lot, like eating the grass, or wandering around, we really needed to control them a bit.

I couldn't remember how long did we take to finish the whole activity, but I think it was at least 2 -3 hours. We literally climbed the hills, got really high place on the mountain, and looked down the whole forest, it was amazing. The weather was nice as usual, bits of sunshine, we took tons of pictures. It was definitely one of the most amazing times I have in my life.

八月是我們比較能去旅遊的時間，因為七月的觀光人潮很多，每天的工作量很高，所以八月一到我們就開心得要命，早上衝去超市買食物補貨，回家狼吞虎嚥一番我們就蹦跳的出發去騎馬~~~~

這是我第一次沒人看著我騎馬(想必大家都有小時候在廟口騎小馬的經驗吧)，而且那個馬不知道在大隻什麼，我們要爬到小木屋的二樓，然後從二樓走道馬背上，不是那種帥氣的一腳跨上馬兒，真心覺得是因為馬場主人看到我們矮成這樣想說我們如果要一腳跨上馬兒可能腳筋會炸裂吧

其實騎馬不是說非常的困難，基本上前進就是夾牠肚子(他們皮厚有時候無感，不要猶豫地用力夾吧)，夾的時候一邊說woo, 然後停止的時候就往後拉一下，左右邊就用韁繩引導之~

馬兒有時候挺自我的，他們會放空發呆看風景，隨意棒賽，有時候會忍不住低頭吃草，為了避免脫隊只好硬拉起來。

我不太記得我們那個時候到底騎了多久，但是我記得應該有兩三個小時，我們認真地翻山越嶺騰雲駕霧，又溯溪又攀岩的，一路上都是山路的往上，最後從山頂邊邊俯瞰整個黃石公園，超美，無話可說，超美。

I felt pure pain when I hopped of from the horse. MY BUM WAS ACHING SO MUCH. And it lasted for 3 days. It was great after all. 

I also went white water rafting but somehow I only have one group picture, so I guess I will just skip it.

我們後來還有去泛舟，也很好玩但是不知道為什麼一張照片都沒有啊 好像只有一張團體照，所以泛舟就草草帶過啦~

A bit of Cody

After hours of travelling, I finally arrived at Cody !!!! Hurray~~~
It was a pure relief after what I have done in SF (previous story : when I arrived San Francisco)

The weather was so comfy, unlike the moist the hotness you get in Taiwan, the first thing I have noticed was the aqua blue sky, it just feels amazing.

My employers went to the airport and picked me up and told me everyone is there except me. I was half nervous, half excited on my way to the place I was gonna stay for more than 3 months.

在無數個小時的飛行之後，我終於抵達柯迪了~~~ 歐耶~
心中大大的嘆了一口氣，覺得過去發生的那些都不重要了啊~~ ( 上一篇: 抵達舊金山 )

天氣真的超級的好，不向台灣那麼的濕熱，第一件發現的事情就是美國的藍天，簡直藍得不像話，真爽快~

我的雇主來機場接我回去的時候跟我說其他的人都到了，一路上我都是有點半緊張，半興奮，一邊看著風景，一邊想著接下來我就要在這裡待上三個多月。

This was actually just bits of things I put on my Facebook at the time, so I am just gonna do it as something like a collection of my old diary.~

didn't know how long had it been since last time I woke up at 6 am, tired but feels good. The view was amazing, I could probably see 500 meters or something. The living pace is really slow and relaxing, and you can see a lot of animals.

In our employer's house, which was 2 minutes walk from where we stayed, there were 4 dogs and 1 cat, therefore, when ever we were having food, they were always staring at you, targeting you, humming around and see if you would spare any food. 

At this moment, I was still in the fresh experiment of all the new food in the US, not missing food in Taiwan just yet.

我們雇主的家，就在宿舍隔壁路程兩分鐘的地方，他們有四隻狗(黑色辣不拉多，兩隻臘腸，一隻混血的鬆獅)，一隻貓咪，超可愛，無時無刻追逐著你，尤其是吃飯的時候，他們會不停的擠來擠去，求你給他們一些食物，真可愛~~~


我這個時候才剛開始享受美國的食物，沒有很思念台灣美食，還沒有。



So this is the first week of my life in Yellowstone, the work wasn't very tiring, it was a bit bleak, but it was fine. I love my roommates, they are all lovely and we got alone really well. We are still very nice friends even now. Now I kinda miss my time with them.

這就是我在黃石的第一週，工作其實沒有到很辛苦，但是比較平淡就是了，我覺得平淡比較好，下班後也可以有很多自己的時間。跟室友也相處得很好，很長一起發瘋，而且我們都現在都還是朋友，只是我們都在不同的地方~ 好想他們啊~~~

今年是個很充實的一年，大學的最後一年有很多計畫都不在預期中，之後慢慢地補上，當初開部落格的時候是想要一邊分享時尚的資訊一邊分享生活，同時也一直猶豫要用中文還是英文好，畢竟我也不會很高深的英文阿，請大家多擔待了。


趁最近比較有空，來記錄一下三年前的故事，記憶力太差，只好記錄下來。

A picture I took when I decided to spend my night in the airport

The first summer vacation in my uni, I decided to go to the US doing a programme called Work and Travel. It's a temporary job that gives students in the uni  a 4-month Visa(J1)  staying in the US and work for 3 months, the extra month is my free time to travel around.

The place I was gonna work is in Yellowstone national park, my flight from Taiwan was pretty tiring. First from Taipei - Tokyo - San Francisco - Denver - Cody.

19 year old feels sooooooo far away, and I was pretty fearless, it was my first time going to the US and first time going abroad on my own self. Now I actually think I was quite brave x.

I was a bit excited/nervous on the day I left, because I had 4 boarding passes in my hand, worrying if I can make the timing work. and no luck, my flight was delayed for hours, it was 6 hours late when I arrived San Francisco, Plus somehow my US mobile phone number can't be used yet :(. I was unable to contact my employer in Yellowstone at the moment so I had to borrow a phone from a stranger next to me.

They gave me the voucher thing you can stay in a hotel nearby the airport for free and the vouchers for breakfast. The time I arrived at the hotel was roughly 5 pm. I laid on the bed and fell asleep accidentally and woke up at 8 am the next day.

I was like 'oh flip, gonna miss the flight!!' and jumped of the bed, rushed out, off to the airport. However, they told me there was no flight to Denver today , I was really shocked, and then I looked back, starred at the windows, and realised something I don't want to admit, and asked : Excuse me, what time is it ?

'It's 11 pm' she said.

what! what! what!!!!!! so I actually only slept for 2 hours, it was only 8 pm, not 8 am. How would I not know it was 8 pm?! The truth is, in Taiwan, our day time and night time are pretty much equally long, 12 hours day time, 12 hours night time. The sunset in Taiwan is always around 6 pm, not like the US, when I woke up at 8 pm and open the door, it was still sunny and quite chilled, that's why I thought it's 8 am in the morning.

 Therefore, I had to spend my night in the airport and wait for the morning to carry on my journey to Yellowstone.

大一的暑假我決定要去美國打工度過我的暑假，當時拿的是J1簽證，J1簽證是個短期的簽證，是給正在就讀大學的學生暑假前往美國幫助美國的旅遊旺季提供相當的勞力，但是去年開始大一的學生不能去，要大二才可以，想去的人可能要注意一下，規定常常改變。這張簽證基本是三個月，但是簽證到期後可以多待一個月旅遊，台灣大部分的學生是六月底左右前往，九月會結束，有些學生因為不想跟開學時間衝到，會大四在去，因為到時候已經畢業了。

我那個時候工作的地點在黃石國家公園，聽起來雖然是個大地方但是飛機真的超難搭，從台北出發，到東京，再到舊金山，再到丹佛，再到柯迪，還沒去就覺得疲勞哈哈哈。

19歲的當年(好遙遠阿)什麼都不怕(現在也沒在怕哈哈)，是第一次自己出國也是第一次去美國，其實現在想想都覺得自己很勇猛阿。

其實我的行李滿多的，記得打包前一天來回秤重了很多次才抓到剛好的23公斤，後來去紐約跟洛杉磯沒有體重機，所以用手提提看，半猜測的在機場擔心很久，沒想到剛好22.5公斤，哈哈哈。

回到主題上(咳)

出發的當天有點緊張，但是參雜興奮的感覺，每一個動作都小心翼翼的，很怕自己轉機出現什麼差錯，我的飛機位置是在走道，內側做了一個台灣女生，拿著iPad在看日文的資料，飛到一半的時候，她突然想到自己該吃中藥還是什麼的，就把中藥倒到嘴裡，舉起手來跟空姐示意說要一杯水，但是突然在拿水的時候嗆到大咳嗽一番，全部的粉末就咳到我臉上，媽~~~~的~~~~~，而且她還沒道歉，想到就覺得真是缺德阿~~不可取不可取~

(突然想到，歐先生人生最慘的飛行經驗是他隔壁坐了一個腸胃不舒服的男子，每隔五分鐘就放一個世紀大臭屁，然後不停地跑廁所，回來又不小心放了數個世紀大臭屁，因為人家也不是故意的，所以歐先生就故作鎮定，在聞了臭屁跟起身讓對方去上廁所兩個小時之後，那位男子因為太尷尬了，就把自己藏在廁所裡面直到飛機抵達目的地。 實在是個無奈又痛苦的飛行啊~~~)


回到我在飛機上的那個時刻，大概在抵達的半小時，機場就很含糊的廣播說我們會delay40分鐘，一邊看我在機場拿到的登機證，手上四張登機證其實非常緊湊，這個40分鐘就會讓我趕不上下一班飛機，而我當時的工作合約是有日期規定的，加上我在台灣辦的美國電話號碼不知道為什麼沒有被開通成功，所以我當時很緊張。

好不容易到了舊金山，我已經比我本來預定到達的時間晚了6個小時，當天已經沒有其他飛機了，我一邊緊張的擔心沒有辦法跟雇主聯絡，一邊跟路人借電話打回台灣跟媽媽說我要在舊金山過夜，要記得幫我詢問我的電話號碼等等的。

在機場領托運行李(當時行李沒有直接拉到黃石公園)，機場人員給我一些住宿券，我搭乘免費的接駁巴士前往住宿的旅館。抵達旅館的時候大概是下午五點，經過十幾個小時的飛行既累又想睡，把盥洗用具拿出來之後就躺在床上休息一下，一休息就不小心睡著了。

睡得迷迷糊糊的時候突然驚醒，但了一下手錶，媽的~ 什麼我竟然從下午五點睡到德天早上八點!?!?!?! 我的飛機是早上11點的，一下嚇死彈起來，也沒刷牙直接拉了行李就衝去機場，在機場經過長時間的排隊等待之後，機場人員跟我說: 現在沒有前往丹佛的飛機喔~

什麼! 什麼!!! 你說蝦米~ 那你昨天給我的那些機票是什麼意思?!

我一邊試圖解釋我手上有機票而且不能再錯過第二班飛機，講得口沫橫飛的時候，餘光看到旁邊的窗戶，我愣了一下，盯著窗戶三秒之後，問機場人員: 不好意思，請問現在幾點?

'現在是晚上11點'

蝦米蝦米又花生什麼事~~~

所以我在旅館是不小心睡著兩個多小時而已嗎? 我怎麼會分不清白天跟黑夜?!

其實是因為我在驚醒的時候打開門一看，外面是有太陽，而且風有點冷的感覺，我覺得完全就是白天啊，在美國這種緯度偏高的國家，夏天的日落時間都是八九點，而且是九點就莫名瞬間全黑。

發現自己搞錯時間的時候覺得很傻眼，加上我衝出旅館的時候已經退房了，如果我現在要去找旅館的話，就要自己出錢，當下不知道哪根筋不對勁，想說那麼我就在機場過夜吧!

一邊上網查'舊金山機場過夜' 之類的，看起來沒有什麼大問題，我就找了一個角落，坐著，趴在行李箱上面睡覺，其實根本睡不著，很怕東西被偷，連去上廁所都要把全部的行李塞進廁所裡面，後來跑到樓上的美食街，發現其實滿多人都在機場過夜的，一邊沖手機的電，一邊畫畫，一邊等待早上搭飛機到丹佛，在到柯迪。
