Two weeks ago, I went to the Louis Vuitton series 3 exhibition at 180 the Strand. It was absolutely full of people. The Exhibition was focused on the Nicolas Ghesquière’s inspirations for the Fall 2015 women show as the Artistic Director for women’s collections at Louis Vuitton.

Besides being able to see the whole collection in an endless dynamic show, I actually saw the making of the Petite Malle, the artisans came all the way from the Louis Vuitton workshop in France. 


Being able to look at the progress of making the Petite Malle was a really rare chance, you can ask any questions to the artisans about the Petite Malle, and there were interpreters to help you talk to the artisans.

"An unconventional exhibition “LOUIS VUITTON SERIES 3 - Past, Present, Future”. A modern and unexpected reinterpretation of a fashion show, this exhibition, following on from SERIES 1 and SERIES 2, invites visitors to discover Nicolas Ghesquière’s inspirations for his fourth ready-to-wear show as the Artistic Director for women’s collections at Louis Vuitton."

大約兩個禮拜前，我去看了路易．威登第三季的展覽，人真的多到不像話，因為不用入場費，所以門口真的是大排長龍。


這個展覽的圍繞在 Nicolas Ghesquière 在2015秋季的設計靈感來源。最直接的就是一個充滿鏡面以及螢幕的房間，每個螢幕上面重複撥放著這一季秀場的影片，可以從很多不同的角度觀賞，也些人甚至會坐下來休息，不用被時間催促的前進，無限地，無止盡的來回。

這個展覽我覺得最值得的地方，就是可以現場看到從法國的工坊前來倫敦的工匠們，現場製作the Petite Malle這個手拿包，耗時30小時以上的手拿包，每一個繁複的步驟，每一個重複的細節，為的就是極致手工的完美。

現場會有可以幫忙翻譯法語的展場人員，可以詢問工匠各種問題，也可以聽他們解說。

這個展覽是seires 3，承接著seires 1跟2，不那麼相近，但是很有趣，可以看到最古老的古董行李箱，到跟由行李箱啟發的The petite malle，一個承接過去，現代，未來的展覽。

看得很過癮，最後離開之前，還送了一張海報。

可惜發現這個展覽的時間太晚，不然應該早點跟各位分享的。


Where is the Louis Vuitton series 3 exhibition? ↓ 

It feels a bit odd living in a big room with other 13 people. We've got people from the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Turkey, China, Ukraine. Everyone took turns to prepare food for the rest. We had great time together, worked as a team to accomplish something good for the society, helped people who need a hand. It just feels amazing.

Luckily, I also witness the victory of world cup in Germany (hurray), during the time in Schiltach, we also went to Freudenstadt, Freiburg, Strasbourg(In France) and Europa Park! Europa Park is the best amusement park ever, it's so big that one day is barely enough.

Oh and we also did zipline, I still remembered that day wasn't very windy, and because of that, I didn't get enough momentum and stopped in the middle, I was hung in the air for 20 minutes. Bit of a cool memory haha.



After finishing 2 weeks in Schiltach, Zoe and I went to Berlin for a couple days and took a train from Berlin to Paris.

Recently, I saw some friends went to Berlin and actually got some really good pictures. However, somehow Zoe and I didn't see much in Berlin.


P.S. We encountered a big unexpected thing when we left Schiltach, and almost get into another one in Berlin, haha Let me know if any of you guys are interested to know it.

14人住一間的感覺其實有點奇妙，尤其我們有腳臭的室友哈哈哈。14個人裡面包含我跟Zoe 兩個台灣人，荷蘭人，德國人，土耳其人，西班牙人，義大利人，烏克蘭人，中國人。
大家要兩兩一組輪流準備食物，記得有一天我們要準備午餐給在山上的室友吃，我跟Zoe做得超認真的!! 我們把土司去邊塗了奶油烤過，包了多種的蔬菜跟肉類，火腿還幫他們煎過。結果輪到義大利人做三明治，哇哇哇我的媽呀!!! 冷的吐司裡面放苦的青菜跟一片冰的火腿。

看到就吃不下去，什麼鬼啊!!! 史上最難吃的東西，跟倫敦中國城的地雷水餃店有得比!!!
而且歐洲人普遍衛生習慣奇差無比，煮完14人份的午餐不洗碗，放兩個小時之後有多難洗啊我的天!!

我最討厭的人就是煮飯不邊煮邊收的! 我可以接受煮完的時候 水槽裡面放洗碗精跟熱水，可以泡一下，但是不要把全部用過的鍋碗瓢盆跟垃圾都堆在廚房~

缺德!

除了這點以外，我覺得可以一起完成工作，為這個村子需要的人付出努力，是很有成就感的，畢竟年輕有的就是體力~ 我們一邊清理超大鳥屋裡面，還蓋了一些盪鞦韆，還有蓋新的小木屋給鸚鵡媽媽孵蛋~ 想想都覺得幸福~

最幸運的是，我們還見證了德國當上世足的冠軍的那一剎那!!! 那晚大家都在酒吧一邊喝酒一邊看轉播~

進球的那一剎那，全部的人跳起來尖叫! 亂抱擊掌! 瘋狂成一團~ 路上的喧囂叫鬧一直持續到早上，很多人都在路上大揮國旗，大放煙火，實在是太開心了!!

另外呢~ 我們還去玩了溜索，當天的風不是很大，我又是第一個溜的，沒想到溜到一半就停住啦哈哈! 吊在黑森林的高空超過半個小時，最後跟教練一起爬上去，後面的人被命令要縮成小小的球，阻力會比較小。 算是個另類的紀念。

在席爾塔的兩個星期過得很快，我們之後前往柏林，在柏林待幾天之後，我們選擇搭乘臥鋪火車一邊睡覺一邊往巴黎前進~

後記:
我們離開席爾塔的時候發生大災難，在柏林的時候也差點發生大災難，哈哈哈哈，簡直超級慘，如果有想看的話再補寫~

Steamed Lobster with Garlic butter

Burger & Lobster is my very first recommendation of a must-go restaurant in London. There are 8 branches you can find in London, some more around the UK. There is one branch in Stockholm, Sweden, and one in New York City.

When you are in the restaurant, there is no menu, you kind of just sit there and wait until one of the waiters comes over and explains how everything works in Burger & Lobster .

Living up to its name, they only give you the choice between burger and lobster (or the combination of the two), whatever you choose, it's all £20 with salad and chips.   

We had steamed lobsters with garlic butter, you can also choose grilled lobster, but the waiter told us the steamed ones would have more juice and tenderness, so we went for that.

The lobster was overwhelming, it was awesome, and the garlic butter was spot-on, SO GREAT, you can't get anything better than that. The chips are crispy and the salad was also amazing.

這家漢堡與龍蝦餐廳是我給來倫敦玩的朋友第一的推薦，實在太好吃了! 在倫敦有八家分店，英國境內也有一些分店，可以點這裡去他們的官網看更多的資訊。(在斯德哥爾摩跟紐約市也有分店喔)

當你一進去的時候，你會發現他們沒有菜單，在位置上等一會之後服務生會來跟你說明這裡的菜單，有三種可以選，一種是漢堡，一種是龍蝦，一種是龍蝦三明治 (感覺在講廢話)。全部都是20英鎊的價錢(約1000台幣)，而且都會附上薯條跟沙拉。

我們是點清蒸的龍蝦，因為店員說蒸的煮法會比較多汁，肉質也會比較柔軟，能保持更多的原味，如果想要不同的風味，也可以點烤的龍蝦，一定也很好吃的!

龍蝦可以搭配奶油或是大蒜奶油，我個人強烈推薦大蒜奶油，沾著享用實在太美味了，雖然清蒸龍蝦聽起來很清淡，但是搭上大蒜奶油，完全不會有調味不夠的感覺啊，新鮮的龍蝦的肉汁稱霸~~，另外桌上會有研磨胡椒跟鹽巴可以自行增減，實在好吃到想轉圈~

配菜的薯條跟沙拉一點也不馬虎，薯條很酥脆，看起來是小小的一桶，但是分量其實滿多的，我們都吃不完，沙拉也很好吃，我個人是不愛沙拉的，但是他們的沙拉因為加了起司粉，比較香濃~~


雖然聽起來價位不是很親民，但是20英鎊在倫敦外食不是說很貴，一般隨便的晚餐也要十幾英鎊，所以偶爾如果工作很累，或是出國玩，我覺得很值得，如果來倫敦的朋友，別忘了來吃~~~

大部分在倫敦，好一點的餐廳，像是日式燒烤或是麻辣鍋，都是20英鎊左右的價錢，大家可以參考一下。

Schiltach

 Last summer I went to Schiltach, Germany as a volunteer in a retirement home. I'd never been to Germany before then. Not like when I went to the US for work and travel.  (←Click for my story to the US), this time, I had a friend accompanied. Her name is Zoe, a friend I've known since high school.

We will be doing volunteering with other 12 people from other countries for 2 weeks, and then go to Berlin, Paris and London afterwards.

Time table for our trip

If you are going abroad with your friend, the best way to make sure everything will fall into place is to make a time table like we did. It's a very clear and simple way to make sure who is taking care of which part of this trip, who paid the hotel or who need to phone contact someone.

It helps everyone during the whole trip, I've heard so many people complaining about having a trip with their friends. It could be a pain in the arse, so better make sure things and responsibilities are all settled before you go.

My luggage for 40 days

The day before we left, we were literally skyping for 3 hours while packing. Haha. There is about 1/4 of the space in my luggage was for my sleeping bag, I also brought some amazing instant noodles from Taiwan. When I pack my luggage, I really need everything to be absolutely neat and make sure I know where everything is. Therefore, I've got smaller pouches to separate all my stuff, I got those pouches from MUJI.

去年的七月我與摯友Zoe 前往席爾塔這個位於德國的小鎮，進行為期兩周的國際志工活動。之前沒去過德國，但是印象德國的治安相對其他的地方不是說太糟糕，所以挺放心的，我們將會跟來自不同地方的其他12個人一起在席爾塔幫忙。

幫助需要被幫助的人很開心~心靈很滿足，更別說那裏的風景超美!!

我跟Zoe在出國前製作了一張行程表，這張行程表註記了所有整趟旅程的細節，誰付了什麼，誰訂了哪間飯店，都記錄得很清楚，一來是我們不管要找什麼，只要翻出這張，馬上一目瞭然，也不會有漏掉的事項，互相分工合作，才能讓整趟旅程順利又美滿。

很常聽到有人說，跟朋友出國容易傷感情，容易吵架，但是我跟Zoe完全不會啊，因為我們提前做了很多功課~

一方面也是給彼此的父母親看一下我們的行程，也讓他們安心，一舉數得，很推薦大家出國的時候這麼做。

我打包行李的時候，會瘋狂地要每一個地方都很整齊，我不喜歡看到東西散掉，所以跑去無印良品買了很多行李專用的分類袋，因為很輕薄所以不會有占空間的問題，今年來英國的時候又買了兩個~哈哈哈

出發前還兩個人一邊視訊，一邊打包行李，邊聊天邊收東西收了三個小時，有夠開心的~

我們是搭荷蘭皇家航空，飛了14小時終於到了，馬上買明信片寫回家~~~

classic lasagne

Since I came to England, I have to cook everyday because it's just simply cheaper. In Taiwan, eating out is very cheap, you can get a satiate dinner within ‎£2. Buying ingredients and making your own dinner in Taiwan is more expensive. Plus we have restaurants everywhere in Taiwan.

So when I feel lazy, I would make lasagne because it can fill us for 2 days. (burrrppp). My recipe is very simple, it's also spontaneous, you can make this any way you like. I got this recipe from BBC food (←Click for the recipe ) So I am just gonna show you that.

preparing the ragu

Ingredients (serves 6-8)
For the ragu

• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 900g/2lb minced beef  (you can use chicken for a lighter meal)
• 2 onions, roughly chopped 
• 4 sticks celery, diced (optional, I didn't use it, because celery makes my skin tone dull)
• 2 garlic cloves, crushed
• 2 level tbsp plain flour
• 150ml/¼ pint beef stock (I didn't use it,  I just use salt)
• 1 tsp sugar (No one would know if you forgot)
• 3 tbsp tomato purée
• 1 tbsp chopped thyme (I didn't have thyme, so I used rosemary and basil)
• 2 x 400g/14oz can chopped tomatoes

For the white sauce

• 50g/2oz butter
• 50g/2oz plain flour
• 750ml/1¼ pints hot milk
• 2 tsp Dijon mustard (I didn't use it because I don't have it)
• 50g/2oz parmesan cheese, grated (I didn't use it because I was lazy)
• salt and pepper

For the lasagne

• 10-12 sheets lasagne (I didn't really count how many sheets I used)
• 75g/3oz mature cheddar cheese, grated

It has been raining quite a lot in London these days. (and I got ill.) If you start taking out some coats from some black holes in your wardrobe, try this outfit. Seize the chance to grab the very last bit of summer with a pair of summery heels.

Occasion: The man you liked who deeply hurt you is asking you out again. He said he just wants to have a cup of coffee with you after work. He said he thought you are still friends. You don't want to show a sign of weakness but you do miss him. So you will see him after work today.

Trying to do outfit of the day every Wednesday, I hope so.

最近倫敦雨下的很猛，我還重感冒，天氣也漸漸的冷了起來。也是差不多要換季的時間了，挖一挖衣櫃裡面應該會發現很多大衣，用一雙可以展現好看的腳背的高跟鞋，趁冬天前再穿一次吧~

情境是: 一個你以前很著迷的男人，最近邀你喝咖啡，你們分開的時候你很受傷，所以你不想在他面前示弱，但是又有點想念對方。加上對方又搬出101個理由: 我們不是朋友嗎?
今天下班就會跟他見面，就是這個場合~~

Somerset house

One thing fantastic in the summer is that you can always find something to do in the night-time. Luckily, we also got the tickets, so we went to Somerset House watching the west side story musical.
(By the way, my favourite musical of all time is Rent)

Experimenting music and art after work in summer is one of the best things to de-stress from your busy routine. With some friends, drink some wine, cuddle up with your love, share some amazing food, and enjoy the music.

I've never been to any outdoor movie like this before so I didn't know what to bring whatsoever. So I brought a waterproof sheet, a blanket and some pillows. Even though it's only mid-August, it could be quite chill at night. We've arrived at Somerset house at around 6 pm, queued up, found a spot to put everything down and looked for some food.

You can bring your own food and your everything, I saw people bringing wine, cheese plates, pizza, crisps. All kinds of food seems to be allowed. But we didn't know that so we ended up getting some food inside Somerset House, which was a lot more expensive.

The musical was really great, but I felt really cold, haha. I should've bought more pillows/blankets.

Pillows and blanket I brought, you will need them when you are watching the musical at 9 pm.

Ungodly expensive tea I bought. £2 for a smallest cup of tea on the globe.

今年的夏天我去了Somerset House看了一場夏季戶外音樂劇 (我個人最喜歡的音樂劇是吉屋出租)，這就是歐洲夏天的好處啊 (蚊蟲比較少)。
下班的時候，和幾個朋友，小酌一下，或是跟愛人相擁，分享一些美味的食物，然後沉浸在經典的音樂劇裡面。可以稍微從忙碌的生活中有一點不一樣的夜晚。

因為我之前沒去看過戶外的電影，我不確定要帶哪些東西好，我後來帶了一個防水可以舖在地板上的布，一個毯子，跟兩個枕頭，去了之後發現其實超級冷的啊，尤其電影要等天全黑才會開始撥放，夏天雖然天氣好，但是溫差可是不能小看，如果有要去看一場戶外電影的話，記得多帶點保暖的物品。

進場後基本上不能離開，所以我們只好在裡面消費，吃了一頓不飽又昂貴的晚餐~ 大部分的人都是自己帶食物，像是披薩，紅酒，起司盤，各式各樣~~ 記得以後要自己準備伙食才不會花冤望錢喔~

Heartbeat in Covent Garden

Last week was the last chance to drop a visit at 'Heartbeat' art installation by a French Artist Charles Pétillon in Covent Garden. I went to Covent Garden twice recently and there were so many people there that I couldn't actually get a great clear picture. Plus I took the pictures with my iPad/phone, so please bear with me a little bit more.

Because the whole thing was made by balloons, so when I went there, some of the balloons have already popped, but it didn't affect much at all.

The introduction of heartbeat that I quoted from here 

'Weaving its way through the South Hall of the Grade II listed Market Building, Heartbeat stretches 54 metres in length and 12 metres in width, and incorporates gentle pulsating white light to symbolise the beating of a heart and reflect the history, energy and dynamism of the district.

Charles Pétillon said: “The balloon invasions I create are metaphors. Their goal is to change the way in which we see the things we live alongside each day without really noticing them. With Heartbeat I wanted to represent the Market Building as the beating heart of this area – connecting its past with the present day to allow visitors to re-examine its role at the heart of London’s life.

“Each balloon has its own dimensions and yet is part of a giant but fragile composition that creates a floating cloud above the energy of the market below. This fragility is represented by contrasting materials and also the whiteness of the balloons that move and pulse appearing as alive and vibrant as the area itself.”'

上個月剛好去了柯芬園兩次，順便看了最近在科芬園展示的藝術作品 '心跳' ，昨天才熊熊想到我去了柯芬園，不然我就早點發文啦，上禮拜是最後一天了，不過沒看到不用氣餒。

用藝術的眼光到哪裡眼中都可以看到藝術

'心跳' 長54公尺，寬12公尺，大小不一的白色氣球，柔和白光規律的脈動其中，象徵心臟的跳動，展現生命的能量。氣球給人一種脆弱的印象，這對比的材料，正可以表現心跳的生動感。

當你走在柯芬園裡，你可以感受到人們的生活與這個作品緊緊相連，就像是有個具像化的作品，告訴你，這裡就像是倫敦的心臟一樣，連接著過去的歷史，與未知的未來。它的龐大與脆弱同時存在，簡單卻反映了倫敦人的生活。

In Saturdays, there are more going on in Covent Garden, loads of hand-made products here you can look for. Also some markets near by if you are looking for some early-Christmas-shopping It's a great place to spend your sunny day.

週六的時候，柯芬園會有手工市集，可以看到很多精美的文創手工小物，如果想要提早買禮物的話，柯芬園是個很好的選擇，附近還有其他的小市集，如果有個空閒的周末，不妨來柯芬園走一趟，感受一下這個城市的脈動吧

(上次去的時候還看到歐洲很少見的椰子水，這裡大部分的椰子都是熟的椰子，裡面有厚厚的椰肉跟一點點椰奶的椰子)
